Austin's stalled hotel development sector could get a shot in the arm if plans to expand the city's convention center move forward. The city's Economic Growth and Redevelopment Services Office expects to have the results of a financial feasibility study for a new hotel to support the center in the next month. "The goal is to understand if our ability to attract business conferences and events is being limited by a lack of hotels and to understand if there is a financial benefit to building another major hotel.
